Bear Life

The black cloud fills the room and flashes and bites at everyone in it. The broken glass is no longer a vase in pieces... it is a weapon. A low growl slowly rises and grows in volume. Seconds before a roar.. mass exodus. Alone in her bad day world.

She does not know of the trail of death she leaves. Their eyes roll back, their mouth twitches its last smile as they die of melted hearts, clutching their chests in the heavenly feeling of having witnessed the terminally cute. Bearly humane bunny killer.

The shimmering light of the green eye peeps through the mouldy dusty bandages. A low growl issues from the wrapped creature as it stumbles forward. Its aura of anger and doom are powerful. Get out of the way, Mummy bear is on the hunt for coffee.

Birds chirping, sunshine through the windows, dust particles settling on my desk, it is all I can do to simply exist. Breathing and slumping are all that this bear can manage.

In disguise as the enemy I prowl with the bears at their picnic. I am not afraid. I am fearless as I digest iced buns and drink honey tea. Suddenly I am stared at... What can be the matter? They all seem to grow quiet and watchful. Oh.. this is not the way they would eat a carrot. Infiltrator bunny was a bunny who liked to tread with danger in each step, crunch on danger with each munch of his carrot.

The familiar grin leaves me unprepared for the spiky ball of sameness as it hits me, driving my passion out. Chained gladly to my love I watch it go, knowing my passion will swing back with a beautiful pain and need. Always ready with a bear love smile is ball and chain ted.

The bunny doll is finally finished. I smile as I as I skewer it, imagining the death of a thousand bunnies. I hear a thud behind me and I see a dead bunny! Its stuffing is leaking out from where I skewered the doll. Clutching at my rabbit ear hat my bear button eyes widen in fear of retribution. I was only playing?
