Are we alone?

The light beamed down and Teddy froze. Was it an alien? Was it a teddy copter? Was it the broken torch lying on the shelf above?

Are we alone in this teddy universe? Teddy wondered and watched the steady ray of light waiting for a sign.

He waited till the torch batteries ran out and was again in the dark.
