The light beamed down and Teddy froze. Was it an alien? Was it a teddy copter? Was it the broken torch lying on the shelf above?

Are we alone in this teddy universe? Teddy wondered and watched the steady ray of light waiting for a sign.

He waited till the torch batteries ran out and was again in the dark.

Staining the stomach fluff was now the sugar heart that read 'I miss you already'. Her only hope now was that he would not ask to see it.
